My heart goes out to the good people of La Palma, especially those in the immediately affected area as they deal with the ongoing devastation from a new volcanic eruption.
I was fortunate to spend a month on the beautiful island of La Palma in February 2019 and two weeks in January 2018. In 2019. I was living in the area where the current lava flow is making its path of destruction. These events have not been uncommon in the history of the island, in fact, it's how the island was formed and continues to form. However, this is certainly of little consolation to the many people who have lost their homes, businesses, and farms during this current eruption.
Here is some photography from 'La Isla Bonita' many of which showcase hardened lava flows, cinder cones, and craters. They are largely unedited and taken primarily with the Fujifilm X100F using a Velvia film built-in filter. I hope that you enjoy them and that you will consider donating to a disaster relief fund.
